Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in Fall of 2022 but didn't start dating until Summer 2023. We were introduced at a family dinner with three other couples. Kelly's meet-cute was the first time she met him and thought he had nice hands. DJ's meet-cute was when Kelly asked how much the Lombardi Trophy weighed at a Super Bowl Party. They only started dating a few months later, when Kelly sent him a foot pic as a joke during a girl's/boy's day. Two days after that, they went on their first date, and they never looked back.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

After Kelly sent the foot pic, they flirted at a music festival all day. By nightfall, when they were about to go home, Kelly whispered to DJ, "You have really nice hands," and without looking back, got in the car with her friend. When Kelly told her friend what she said, they both looked back to find DJ mounted on his bike, staring at his hands. When DJ went home to his dogs that night, he told them, "Boys, she's serving up meatballs. I just gotta swing!" They started dating two days later.

What would you do with $20,000?

Our start was rocky. In the first 16 months, we were in a car accident, Kelly's dad passed, we moved in together, Kelly lost her job, DJ got a new job, and we adopted 4 fur babies. Our life was a mix of great joy and sadness. But DJ supported with his sunshine attitude, while Kelly found every opportunity to bring laughter. The new relationship honeymoon didn't last long. So 2026 is the first year that feels like ours. We would use the funds to travel abroad or in our renovated campervan.
