Our entire courtship happened through letter writing after he went off to college. We just celebrated 40 years of marriage!
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met in church and were just friends. When he left for college I said I’d write to him and keep him updated on what was going on in our town and he could tell me about his experiences out of state. The letters began as a good friendship and in 3 months we got to know each other very deeply. The letters that ended with, “your friend Bobbie” now became “love, Bobbie!” When he came home that first Christmas break, he asked me to marry him. We had never even been out on a date!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? When we were getting married, he asked me “will you follow me anywhere?” I said yes, and we have traveled to so many places around the world doing mission work and meeting so many people of so many different cultures! There’s no way to pick only one favorite memory!
What would you do with $20,000?First we would tithe (give 10%) to our church. We would bless our children and grandchildren and continue to travel.
