As Jiminy Cricket sang, “Fate is kind ~ She brings to those who LOVE,” so a colleague tricked Love-Cynic-Me into meeting Pete at a bar where he & his rugby friends lay in wait. I was mad at being shanghaied, but Pete repeatedly called the office to ask me out, & I was terrible & rude & unavailable UNTIL he showed up at my door with HIS MOTHER, & I couldn’t be rude to her, so we three went out for a bite & have been together ever since!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We bought a 100 year old cedar-shake clad bungalow in 2000 and have spent every second since then restoring her to her turn of the previous century's glory. Pete is a carpenter/cabinet maker, and we've had the BEST time researching the Arts & Crafts movement and getting every little detail just right!
What would you do with $20,000?Because a balanced checking account is NO ONE'S death bed reverie, we'd spend the money creating new stories with travel adventures, spoiling our fabulous family members, and investing the balance in a broad-market index fund for security.
