We met on Hinge looking for something casual and ended up finding each other instead. On our first date, Vanessa surprised me with my favorite peanut butter that I'd been searching for everywhere. We both left convinced the other wasn't interested, but I couldn't stop thinking about her and asked her on a second date the second I got home. A week later she came to visit me, and we've been long distance ever since, falling more in love every day.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is the night we said “I love you” and made things official. After a movie and a few glasses of wine, we ended up talking for hours at an arcade bar. I had a letter in my car that I planned to give Vanessa later, but I couldn't wait. We ran to my car, I read it to her, and she cried, said yes to being my girlfriend, and told me she loved me too. It was imperfectly perfect and completely us.
What would you do with $20,000?The first thing we'd do is end the long distance and finally live in the same place. After that, we'd invest in our futures, using the money to help launch my coffee syrup company, Monky, and support Vanessa as she starts her nail business. Whatever remains would go toward our savings and the life we're building together. It would give us the chance to stop putting parts of our future on hold and start living it now.
