We have been married and having fun over 50 years. We have supported each other in our separate careers and sharing chores and raising kids.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
My first day at college we met at a beer bash on Lake Mendota. I was with another guy who said “What are you doing tonight.?” She is going out with me he said. Our eyes locked as he said “Right’.. I said “Right’..That was it.I never met a man so sure of himself. We have never gone to bed angry at each other. Of course there are always temptations over 50 years. But if we were children playing at a playground we would still pick each other to play with.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We were traveling by car in Greece on our honeymoon and one dark night we ran into a disheveled tourist on the side of the road his car was broken down. We picked him up, no cell phones yet, and the man was so grateful he invited us back to his boat which turned out to be a huge gorgeous yacht. He took us as his guests all over the Greek Islands. He was famous and his wife too and although they are passed away now we were friends for many years. Good deeds often get rewarded. Can’t judge by looks
What would you do with $20,000?We would put some money into a college account for our three granddaughters but also invest in another nature trip with our grandkids. As they are getting older and able to travel to our country's beautiful National parks, to learn about the environment and nature and teach them to put down their cell phones, computers and social media. Hopefully bond with three generations and create poetry, music and receive inspiration from nature. To query "What do we do today to not be invisible?"
