How did your love story begin?

Our story began in February 2023, when a mutual friend, Kim — David’s friend of 45+ years — introduced us, secretly hoping we’d hit it off. She knew our histories, including our divorces and hopes of marrying again. We mingled and had great conversation. I thought David was attractive but was there for Kim. Unbeknownst to me, David told her, “That’s my wife.” Timing was off — I was dating then. Three years later, we finally gave it a try, and haven’t looked back since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first international trip together — the islands were the perfect backdrop for our shared love of travel and adventure. There, we found a space where our faith and our passions could exist side by side, free from the noise of everyday life. That trip cemented what we already felt for each other and gave us a glimpse of the life we’re building together, rooted in shared purpose and joy.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d put every dollar toward the destination wedding we’ve both dreamed of. When we first talked about where we wanted to get married, we both said the exact same thing at the exact same time: “Destination wedding!” It felt like confirmation we were meant to be. We’ve each been given another chance at love after divorce, and against the odds, we found it in each other. After everything we’ve walked through to get here, we know without a doubt — this is it, and we want to celebrate in paradise.
