Our love story began 25 years ago, when we met at my dispatcher’s birthday party. We were both police officers for different agencies. He did not impress me when I first met him… But with his perseverance, we started dating eight months later. We have been together for 26 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory with Eric isn’t from a vacation—it’s from one of the hardest times in my life. When I was in the hospital for three weeks, he cared for all the animals at the rescue and still came to see me every single day. When I came home, he cared for me with so much love and patience that it helped me heal. The way he showed up when life was hardest means more to me than any trip ever could.
What would you do with $20,000?If we win America’s favorite Couple, we’ll donate the entire $20,000 prize to Funky Chicken Rescue, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary we founded in 2018. We provide lifelong care to over 200 rescued farm animals, many with special needs, giving them a safe home, veterinary care, and the love they deserve. Winning wouldn’t just celebrate our relationship—it would change the lives of the animals who depend on us every day.
