Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in high school and honestly couldn’t stand each other. Dating was the last thing either of us had in mind. Then in 2006, fate stepped in. I was working as a nurse tech, and Danny was on his paramedic school rotation when our paths crossed again. I invited him to a group outing, and by the end of the night, we were inseparable. We started dating in August 2006, got engaged on October 4, and married on July 28, 2007. Sometimes, your forever love is the one you never saw coming.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I don’t think I could ever choose just one favorite memory. In 20 years together, we’ve shared so much—amazing trips, the births of our two beautiful daughters, building successful careers, and even taking turns caring for one another through cancer battles. Every chapter has shaped our story. If I had to pick a favorite, it’s this: knowing our best memories may still be ahead of us. I’m most excited for the adventures and moments we have yet to create together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we’d invest it in what matters most to us now—making memories with our family. Our battles with cancer have given us a completely different perspective on life and reminded us that time together is the greatest gift. We would take our girls on unforgettable trips to destinations we’ve only dreamed about, creating experiences, laughter, and memories that would last far longer than anything money could buy.
