Jessica and I met while working with children with special needs. I was the teacher of the class and she was a Life Skills Coach, providing behavioral interventions to the children in the class. I was immediately smitten with her but convinced she was out of my league, especially in her burgundy Converse sneakers. We bonded over movies, music, faith, and family. Even our preschool students noticed our connection and would chant, “Marry her!” Together we found not only love, but our best friend.

After our Wedding, we went to New York City for our Honeymoon. We had an opportunity to see Steven Colbert, and before the show began, he offered us Marriage advice. It was truly a magical experience. Since then, we've made countless memories traveling and driving up and down the Oregon coast, staying in quaint Hotels, visiting Aquariums, visiting Museums and attending Concerts . No matter where we go, our favorite moments are simply being together.

We purchased a fixer-upper home in Oregon with dreams of making it a place that our family could enjoy for years to come. Health challenges and financial hardships have delayed many needed repairs. Winning $20,000 would allow us to finally complete those projects and create an even more comfortable home for our children and family.
