We met teaching online during COVID in 2020. In 2021, we finally met in person when schools opened up. We would talk but only work-related topics. During the summer of 2022, we started texting afterschool. We would exchange recipes and share our lunches. On October 28, 2022, we went out on our first date. We were supposed to watch a movie and have dinner at his house. We ended up talking all night. We got married on July 6, 2024. We have been together ever since and here we are.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have so many; however, we really enjoyed our first Halloween couple costume the following year in 2023. We dressed up as Profesor Jirafales and Dona Florinda. It's a Mexican sitcom. It was a hit at school with our colleagues and out in public. People would stop us just to have their picture taken with us. We also really enjoyed dressing up as Daddy Warbucks and Little Orphan Annie in 2024. It was another hit. We have entered many Halloween contests, and we have been very successful.
What would you do with $20,000?We would take a train trip from the west to east coast and do a road trip to visit the Thirteen New England Colonies since we both taught American History. However, we have also talked about someday visiting Ireland and enjoy the scenery, the food, and the culture. We would love to see its natural landscapes. Enjoy their music and festivals, along to visit a few of the castles. It's in our bucket list, too.
