How did your love story begin?

I was at a gas station in my hometown late one Friday night. I tell everyone that's where I laid eyes on "the hottest guy I had ever seen!" His friend was pumping gas while he went in to pay. I walked over to the "gas pumper guy" and said, "Your friend is sooo hot!" He introduced us, when hottie told me his last name was Coffee I didn't believe him. I thought he gave me a fake name so I couldn't look him up. (It was the 90's. We had to use phone books) 4 months later my last name became Coffee.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I've struggled with major depression for the majority of our marriage. In 2019 it got so severe I wasn't taking care of myself. I just wasn't capable. Curtis carried me from bed to the bathtub. He washed my hair while I cried. He wiped my tears and took me back to bed. He spent hours praying for me. This may not sound like a "good" memory to most but our love grew so much during this time.

What would you do with $20,000?

During the economic crash of 2008, we lost our home to foreclosure after Curtis was laid off from his job at a steel plant. We've never fully bounced back from that. Emotionally or financially. I would use the $20,000 as a down-payment to purchase a new-to-us home.
