Whitney spent five years pursuing her orthopedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins. After serving in the Navy, Joe resisted moving back home to Baltimore. His grandmother always said he wouldn’t find the right person until he came home. Two months after returning, and after both had ended previous relationships, Joe reluctantly downloaded Hinge. His very first swipe was Whitney. One date later, they both knew they had found someone very special.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our first bae-cation to Washington, DC perfectly captured who we are as a couple. Our competitive sides came out over mini golf, followed by a museum visit where Joe’s love of history met Whitney’s playful teasing of historic paintings. We ended the day with an elegant dinner, laughing over the day’s adventures and sharing deep challenges and struggles up to this point.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d put a down payment on a house for Joe’s sister. She’s a single mom of five who runs her own cleaning company in Ocean City, Maryland.
