How did your love story begin?

Our story began 26 years ago when he took a chance and asked his friend’s little sister to be his girlfriend. That one question started a lifetime of adventures. We followed his career to the beach, then found our way back home to Kansas City to build a family. Through every move and every season, we’ve chosen each other, and we’re still writing our happily ever after.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories started with a phone call asking him to bring home a pregnancy test just nine months after our wedding. When it was negative, we celebrated by planning a three-week trip across Europe for our 1 year anniversary. Ending in Munich October fest, an adventure we knew would have been years away if we’d started our family then. Today, we still love to travel, only now our greatest adventures include taking our kids with us.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would invest the $20,000 right back into our Kansas City community by sharing it with organizations doing the hard, daily work of feeding and supporting families in need. We’d focus on partners already on the front lines—food insecurity, school support, and basic needs, so the funds go where they can have immediate impact. It’s important to us that this gift multiplies through trusted organizations that are already changing lives across our city.
