How did your love story begin?

Ask any of our friends and they'll tell you we were in denial for a really long time, but eventually we realized we made a good match. We both just wanted to have a good time and not take anything serious. But one day our friend's mom thought we had just met and were really hitting it off. So after a year of playing games we decided to just take the leap and accept we were a couple.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We're nerds at heart so the best memory we've shared is probably our first convention. So much happened that weekend but Darnell swears he's never seen me happier than when I won Dreamcon's cosplay contest in 2022. I was stressed out and snapping at him all day so it wasn't my best moment. He was so patient with me though and I truly appreciated everything he did to help me. Winning loosened up all the tension of the day and we wrapped up our first con together on a high note.

What would you do with $20,000?

We'd love to use the money to have a small wedding. I'm envisioning a small destination wedding with a few of our closest friends and family, that way we can enjoy our honeymoon and not have to worry about traveling. Eloping is also an option we've talked about, still just inviting a few people since my grandparents can't travel far. We'd use the remaining money to take our honeymoon and pay off a few debts.
