In 2008, amid my divorce, Ron met me and my 4-year-old son through friends. Ron quickly became my inseparable best friend and chose to step into my son's life, raising him entirely as his own. We aren’t bound by a marriage certificate; our bond is built purely on raw choice and a deep friendship. Through every high and low over the last 16 years, we haven't relied on tradition to keep us close. To this day, we still look at our best friend and consciously choose each other every single day.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Since 2010, our favorite tradition is our annual trip to Ocean City. Though my son is older now and doesn’t join us, it remains our most cherished memory and getaway. It is our sacred time to completely unwind and relax on the beach. We always sit in our exact favorite spot on the boardwalk and look forward to it all year. More than just a vacation, it is where we pause, look at the future, and map out our plans for the year ahead, choosing each other all over again.
What would you do with $20,000?The $20,000 would finally grant us the opportunity to move by providing a down-payment for a new home. This has been a dream of ours for several years.
