How did your love story begin?

I had gone through a divorce and was learning how to date as an adult. He had a stream of bad relationships becoming selectively single for a few years. When we met online, a little voice told me to give him a chance… we hit it off immediately for weeks! Our first date was nothing short of divine intervention and a lot of old fashioned magic! It was “game over” at first sight. He was respectful, kind, witty, and genuine like a prince from a fairytale. He still is.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are two! I was told for a decade that I am infertile. In the midst of difficult times, we found out I was pregnant! The ultrasound showed a healthy, chubby baby we named Cayde! We’re so scared but so proud! We’ve been struggling with unemployment and pregnancy but still rolling! A few days ago, Conner reenacted our first date. This time, it ended with him pulling out a ring! This is the poorest I’ve ever been yet the richest I’ve ever felt! I love you, Conner.

What would you do with $20,000?

First off, we should probably figure out how much the IRS wants so they don’t come nagging to us later. Afterwards, hopefully we can pay off all the debts accumulated from unemployment, medical bills and college. If we’re smart with it, we’ll have money left over to make sure our baby will have all of his needs met. We thought we had until August but he decided to make his appearance sooner! We want to give our little miracle everything we can!
