He proposed on our first date and that certainty, love and friendship has only multiplied since then!
We would like to thank you for supporting Conner and Baelee in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Conner was living in MT and I was in CA. My best friend and his marine corps buddy were dating in AZ and played matchmaker for us. We FaceTimed for a month before going to AZ to meet. We loved each other before we ever met.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our first date at a place called Dahlias. Conner chose it because that’s my favorite flower. The day after meeting in person we had already decided this was it. Sitting at dinner I made a joke about him proposing and he joked about me saying yes. Thinking the other was bluffing he took a pearl ring from my right hand, got on one knee, and I said yes! He still bought a diamond, asked for my hand, and did a “real” proposal, but we never questioned our first date and my pearl ring.
What would you do with $20,000?I just bought a house at the beginning of this year and Conner left his job in MT to move to CA to be with me. We would love to use the money to work on our house and make it more of a home. We also have a brand new niece in South Dakota and all of his family and friends in MT and would use it to visit all of our people.
