I fell for him (back in 1980) because he made me LAUGH when he introduced himself … 41 years of marriage— and he STILL makes me LAUGH!
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met in January, 1980… High school! We lived down the street from each other, Fort Benning, Georgia… Both of our dads were serving in the US Army, so we are both “Army brats!” While I pretended to not be interested for a few months, I finally “gave in“! I was secretly crazy about him and couldn’t imagine what he saw in me so that’s why I “fought it” for a minute! But we started dating exclusively that April, and a little over five years later, in June 1985, we were married in my hometown.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I would have to say some great ones are the day we got married and the days that each of our sons were born! We have fun doing just about anything, from things with our kids and grandchildren, to just “Netflix and chill“ evenings! There are too many great memories to settle on just one!! We’ve now been together 46 years, just had our 41st anniversary.
What would you do with $20,000?Due to so many obligations (work and family), we haven’t had a REAL one together in YEARS so we could easily spend the entire amount on an incredible VACATION.. I love cruises and the beach, but recently, he has been talking about Alaska! I’m sure with that much money, we could do both!
