How did your love story begin?

My karaoke host was ill so I went to a nearby bar. As I walked in a handsome man in a black fedora was tearing up Drops of Jupiter on the stage. When it was my turn, I performed You ain’t woman enough. As I returned to my seat I realized fedora had followed me. His first words were “you sang like an angel.” He showed up at my Friday night spot the next week where I sat with friends. He sang Always & forever looking straight at me. I was up dancing with him & we exchanged our first kiss.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

An impromptu overnight tent camp out at the state park early in our relationship. It was cold & rainy but perfect in every way. He showed off his boy scout skills and got a raging fire going. We shivered while making hobo pies for dinner before turning in for the night. We would’ve made the whole night if it weren’t for the bathroom calling. Once up, we were wet & freezing, threw everything in the trunk, drove straight to a truck stop for dry clothes off the souvenir rack & had 4am breakfast.

What would you do with $20,000?

That would be a game changer for sure and would get us another step closer to our dream of moving to Sanibel island, Florida where our biggest daily challenge would be shell wars to see who gets the biggest haul.
