I met Michael in a time where I didn't think I'd ever find someone who finally felt like home. Now, I fall more in love with him every day.
We would like to thank you for supporting Christiana & Michael in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met during our local community theatre's production of "Shrek: The Musical" (us both being theatre nerds). I was the Dragon and he was a guard/operator of the Dragon. I was in a place where I wasn't looking for love, but something about him instantly drew me in. I was closed off and reserved, but he made me laugh like no other person could and little by little I completely opened my heart back up and trusted someone again.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Every moment is my favorite. But for me specifically, I have to say it's in the quiet, not picture perfect moments people don't share as often. I struggle a lot with mental health, a reason I'm so reserved at times, so there's times when being with me isn't pretty. It's in those moments when everything is stripped down and it's just us listening to eachother and supporting one another that I will always hold dearest to my heart.
What would you do with $20,000?Both of us have been struggling financially for a bit. Him trying to get back into school and find a new place to live, and myself attempting to continue to pay my way through school in order to pursue my dreams of theatre. This money would tremendously help us in so many ways and lift so much weight off our shoulders. Both in our personal lives and the life we hope to lead together.
