I was a single mom of two young kids after leaving an abusive marriage a few years prior. He messaged me on FB after seeing me comment on a some posts of a cousin of mine who he graduated HS with and a few posts of one of his cousins who I happen to have graduated with. We slowly messaged each other just chatting for a few months before he asked me to dinner. I completely fell in love that first date. That was almost 16 years ago and we’ve been together since, and married for almost 14 years.

The birth of our daughter would have to be my favorite memory together. Seeing him hold her for the first time and never leaving my side. It was like falling in love with him all over again. The smile on his face when he looked at me and her both completely melted my heart.

We’ve been trying to plan a trip to the UK, he’s a huge history buff & has always wanted to visit the tank museum & various places of history & I want to see the gorgeous countryside but things keep happening that we keep having to take money from our savings from normal life things like having to get new tires to medical bills and we sadly had to postpone our trip we were planning. I would love to take our trip and put some in savings towards a family trip with our kids too.
