Our love story began in 2001. I was asked to be a patient for an EMT class Chris was taking and we started talking from there. Chris has also been a volunteer Firefighter since 1998. We have a beautiful family, and for the last 3 years Chris has been fighting for his life as he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?In November of 2023 we received the awful phone call that changed our lives in an instant when his family doctor told him he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. We have became closer to god and to each other. We are always together traveling for health care appointments, finding new places to eat at due to traveling for appointments and treatments. We have also learned to not take things for granted.
What would you do with $20,000?This money would be such a great help for medical travel and expenses which is always a burden the past 3 years. Since we travel all the time for health care, treatments, doctor appointments and have been gone from home for a total of 6 months since initial diagnosis. We might even throw in a beach trip which is our absolutely favorite place to go of all time. We are trying to enjoy every minute of life we can.
