Connect How did your love story begin?

Char and I met in college in the way most good stories don’t start, taking care of a drunk mutual friend. I was with him when Charlotte walked in and we locked eyes, something felt different (cheesy, IK). But she was with another guy at the time. Our next meeting, I was keeping my birthday lowkey at a party, but she found out and got everyone to sing for me. Thats when we became friends. One thing led to another, she was finally single, a spontaneous road trip together, and love bloomed.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our road trip. Char was single now, we got closer until friendship started feeling like something more. One day we realized we had mutual friends at a college a couple states away and their homecoming game was that weekend. On a spontaneous whim I asked, “what if we went?” She said yes. The next morning we started the 10 hour drive alone, laughing and singing the whole way like we’d known each other forever. That trip felt like the start of everything. We stayed the weekend and left as a couple.

What would you do with $20,000?

Charlotte is a 5th and 6th grade music teacher, so much of that would go to instruments and her classroom. We are also recently engaged and planning our wedding, so of course we would use it for that too. More practically, college was expensive, so we would use that money to help with our student loans.
