We would like to thank you for supporting Charlie and Djenita in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met through Charlie's cousin, who was Djenita's college roommate towards the end of 2011. At the time, Djenita was completing her undergrad at St. Bonaventure University in New York, and Charlie was completing the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We began a long-distance relationship that spanned nearly six years, international military deployments, Charlie completing two master's degree programs, and Djenita receiving her law degree in Chicago in the interim.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memories include celebrating one another's accomplishments, traveling the world, and learning more about the beautiful people and places across the globe. Several highlights include Djenita passing the bar exam, Charlie commissioning as a second lieutenant, our honeymoon in Bali, various travels across the country and globe, and publishing our first children's book, Tiber's Travels, this past summer!
What would you do with $20,000?We would invest and save the $20,000 as we are expecting our first baby this July! We are hoping for a little Fourth of July baby, but so long as he is healthy and happy, that is all that matters.
