We met in my mom's kitchen, while my mom tried to remove a splinter from his hand. He was (still is) good friends with my brother. We dated for 3 weeks, before his deployment to Iraq. While there, we wrote letters almost daily. A great way to get to know each other. We married, in Las Vegas, about 3 weeks after his 7 month tour to Iraq.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After getting married, we decided on our first Thanksgiving together Brad asked if he can invite a couple of Army guys. A "couple" ended up being 9. That set the tone! For 36+ years, we have invited strangers for meals. Once I met a woman next to me on an flight from ELP to Plattsburgh. I brought her home because I didn't want her to drive herself in the snow. We gave her a guestroom and a nice breakfast the next morning. Then we drove her to Vermont.
