It was God’s timing. I was in the process of moving back to my parent’s house, in my last week of working at a weld shop as their safety coordinator. Carl was working as a safety salesman. He came to sell me safety supplies and I. WAS. SMITTEN. We talked for a half hour in the office. He gave me a card for work purposes. He came back in and gave me another card for my personal use. It felt like I was in a movie! He called me every night & played the guitar for me & sang… the rest is history!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The day we were married and the day our son was born were obvious favorites. The day I rang the bell after finishing cancer treatments was another great day. But truly each day brings favorite memories and moments. Ordinary life together is just fun when you’re in love and with your best friend.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay off our debt. Cancer means bills and lack of work. We had to use our savings and we accumulated a bit of debt. Our friends and family have supported us so much but still the debt came. We would also love to take a trip. Next year, I turn 40, it’s our 10 year wedding anniversary, and my 2 year cancer-versary - we want to celebrate! Finally, a donation to breast cancer to research in honor of my fight.
