Married October 31, 1981. Halloween. No children so we had each other for every adventure, every joy, every heartbreak and every day. Love.
We would like to thank you for supporting Captain Don and the winch Sharon in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Sharon was a representative for a trucking company and I was working for a company in charge of the shipping and she came in and solicited my business and boy did she. Love at first sight. We fell in love and became best friends too so the combination could never end and it’s been going strong now for 45 years this coming October.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I took her out to an island off the coast of North Carolina on our first date with another couple and unknowing to me the tide went out, and our boat was stranded, and we had to stay there until the wee hours of the morning until the tide came back in and lifted the boat. upafterwards, we went to a disco and danced all night. We’ve been dancing ever since. We belong to the ocean drive shag club in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and dance every week.
What would you do with $20,000?We would take a romantic vacation to Italy and ride the gondola’s in Venice and explore the ruins of Rome, eat Italian food until we couldn’t eat anymore and drink the wines until we were filled with euphoria.
