Our love story started at a mine site in Saskatchewan about three years ago. I worked in security, and Rene was arriving for his first shift. Ironically, his coworker was interested in me first, so Rene respectfully kept his distance. But I noticed him, found him on Facebook, and added him. He sent the first message, and the rest is history. What started with a simple conversation grew into a partnership built on friendship, laughter, adventure, and unconditional support.

Our favorite memory is our second date—skydiving! Most people start with dinner and a movie, but Rene wanted to share something he was truly passionate about and bring me into his world. Taking that leap together was exciting, unforgettable, and a perfect reflection of our relationship: supporting each other's passions, embracing new adventures, and never being afraid to take a chance on something amazing.

If we won $20,000, we'd put it toward finishing our rental home in rural Saskatchewan, helping create housing for nurses and other professionals our community needs. We'd also invest in our future goals together and take a well-deserved getaway to celebrate how far we've come. For us, it would be the perfect mix of giving back, building our future, and making memories together.
