We are Camp Soleymani! My wife Annie and I are fun parents who always find time to ‘date’. We plan 'Super Secret Date Nights to keep it fun!
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met at a Jewish singles party, through a mutual friend, and she HATED me. I didn't really like her either. I was cocky, she was kinda mean to me. But a couple of months later, during the holidays, I saw her on Facebook, and shot my shot. I asked her out, and it turns out we shared a love of all things "nerd" - Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc. We also figured out that we went to high school together, but didn't know each other! So there was a connection from the start.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? On our first date, which was a DVD and wine night (before Netflix and Chill was a thing), she told me she had just WON a trip to Australia! I said "Great! When are we going!". Jokingly, she said "If you're still around in a year, I'll take you". Of course, a year later, we went on a 2 week, all expense trip to Australia, where we had the time of our lives. On a cruise through Sydney Harbor, I decided "I'm gonna marry this girl"...and a couple of years later, we were married.
What would you do with $20,000?We'd probably put the $20K towards our kid's college tuition, after taking a trip with the kids - probably another Disney Cruise (we've done two, and they love them!). We've never taken the kids to Europe, so that could be a fun adventure with them!
