Burak moved to Meredith's high school right before Sophomore year. Although we are both passionate soccer players, we met during an after-school intramural basketball game. Meredith started juggling the basketball with her feet and Burak definitely took notice. Following a co-ed soccer game, on our team we named "Goals-R-Us," Burak asked Meredith to Prom with a poster that read, "Please Don't Curve Me Like Beckham, PROM?" We have been inseparable ever since.

Our favorite memory together was being on our honeymoon in Sicily. We were celebrating 6 months of marriage and 10 years together. We were walking around our resort late at night after a delicious dinner, and we stumbled upon an empty amphitheater by the beach. We stood in front of the stage and started to slow dance to Harvest Moon by Neil Young under a bright full moon. We held each other and kissed and cried happy tears, so enamored of the life we made together. A perfect, intimate moment.

After years of serious consideration, we have decided we would love to become parents. Before we start trying for a baby, we would love to renovate our guest bedroom into a nursery. Additionally, we would love to put any extra money aside to save up for their future, whatever that might be. We are so excited to start the next chapter of our lives and would love to raise a little human together.
