How did your love story begin?

We've known each other for years, I as his boys pediatric health care provider and he as my girls karate instructor. When I was going through my divorce, he was talking to me about his divorce and things he did to help heal. We started talking more and more as friends and realized that what we were looking for in a parter, we found in each other. We went slow in the beginning, I was going through a hard time, we have 5 children between the 2 of us, so we didn't want to overwhelm them.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories are just from doing the simple things. We like to go for car rides through the mountains in our area and just talk about life and plans for the future and the kids. We have a busy life and enjoy the time we get to just connect. One of our specific memories that we bring up is our first kiss. We met up in the parking lot of my office for something and we both knew we were falling for each other. It wasn't something planned or thought out, it was just right and perfect

What would you do with $20,000?

We're planning a wedding, but want something very small and intimate. We are strongly considering a trip to Vegas to the Little White wedding chapel. How fun would that be! We just want to be together and be happy. We don't care about the big wedding and extravagance that comes with a wedding. So we would have a small wedding, use some of it for a little trip with the kids, and save the rest to start building our life together. Very boring, but practical!
