We met at my little shop, The Sacred Squirrel. Ben’s sister sold her jewelry there and we had become friends. She asked if her brother could come by after hours to hang out, I wasn’t sure… until he walked through the door. The bell above it went bong—and so did my heart. I sat beside him, and where our legs touched I could actually feel a tingle. It felt like love at first sight, almost too good to be true. Forteen years later, it turns out it was true.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?It’s hard to choose just one because we’ve built an entire life together. Raising our two boys, taking spontaneous road trips, wandering Disney hand in hand, and most recently taking the biggest leap of all—opening ThunderStruck Donuts. We turned a dream into reality with our own hands, surviving long nights, setbacks, and victories together. Our favorite memories aren’t just vacations—they’re the adventures we’ve created side by side.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d invest it in ThunderStruck Donuts, the family business we’ve poured our hearts into. It would help us improve the shop, create new experiences for our community, and give our boys the chance to see what happens when you chase a dream together. We’d also use part of it to take a family adventure, because our favorite thing isn’t just building a business—it’s building a life full of memories together.
