Brit and I almost never met. Our dating app showed us each other’s profiles three times before we finally both swiped right. After we matched, we faced another challenge: I’m Deaf, and Brit didn’t know any ASL. Instead of letting that stop us, she embraced the opportunity to learn. What began as a chance match became a relationship built on communication, commitment, and growing together—one sign at a time.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memories come from traveling together. Whether by plane, train, or road trip to places like Marfa, Texas, we love sharing new adventures. One highlight was exploring Christmas markets across five German cities, where I watched Brit experience her favorite holiday through unique traditions, lights, music, and food. Every trip—whether across the world or West Texas—brings us closer and reminds us why we love exploring life together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we’d celebrate our March wedding with the ultimate “-land” adventure: Finland, Iceland, Scotland, and Ireland. We love experiencing cultures, meeting people, and making memories that last a lifetime. This trip would be the perfect start to our marriage—a journey filled with adventure, connection, and the shared belief that the best investment isn’t in things, but in experiences we’ll remember forever.
