Dominic and I met by chance through a mutual friend in 2018. I saw Dominic in passing at my friend’s old workplace and thought he was cute, so my friend offered to set us up. Despite neither of us seeking a relationship at the time, we reluctantly agreed. Over the next few months we talked extensively and ended up falling hard for each other. Dominic saved me from a painful time in my life and we’ve been happily together since 12/11/18. We got engaged just this March and couldn’t be happier.

My favorite memory with Dominic is without a doubt our proposal. We were on vacation with some of my family at Dauphin Island in March of this year, and Dominic conspired with my family to plan the perfect proposal. He asked me to marry him on the beach during sunset, with my family taking photos and facetiming my dad and Dominic’s parents so they could share in the joy too.

$20,000 would be life-changing for us. We have our wedding coming up next year, and while we’re extremely fortunate to have financial help from my parents, Dominic and I have been feeling a lot of financial pressure recently and want to better plan for our future. With $20,000 we could pay off my remaining student loans and use the rest to save for our future and hopefully buy a home someday.
