Their love story began as two indie emo nerds in high school. Brendan felt a deep connection first, but after a brief try at dating, they stayed friends. Brendan still saw their potential & even took Melody to prom. That summer, they grew closer as he braved the beach for her & she learned about Lord of the Rings for him. During a movie night, Brendan reached out to hold her hand, & everything clicked. After a summer night singing their favorite songs together sealed the deal & they were in love

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have so many beautiful memories as a family with 4 kids. However, our favorite 'couple memory' was we finally took our first adults-only trip and went to Las Vegas. Best part wasn't the neon casino lights; it was a last-minute kayak trip at Willow Beach paddling on the Colorado River, finding caves and towering canyons. Exploring this brand new landscape together felt exciting, as we enjoyed being just the two of us, and it reminded us of the underlying genuine friendship and love we have.

What would you do with $20,000?

Brendan would use the money to plan a vacation, possibly Hawaii. Melody would use it to update their backyard into a space for hosting family gatherings or better yet, a quiet escape for the two of them to relax at the end of their busy days together. The outcome would be decided over a game of air hockey.
