Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at a coffee shop drive thru where I was working. He applied to work there the same day, as a way to talk to me! After a few shifts together we learned that we went to the same high school and even had mutual friends. Since our first date we have spent everyday together learning how to manage adulthood, marriage, parenthood to fur babies, and everyday life. Although we got married at 21 and 22 and people had their doubts, I could not pick a better partner for myself.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Everyday we create more memories for one another with small thoughtful gifts, silly conversations, trips to the grocery store, and vacations home but my favorite memory is when I met his sister for the first time. That day she shared with me that after my husband met me in my drive thru line he went home and told her that he met the girl he was going to marry. We’ve been married for 5 years now and I still feel so loved when I remember that day.

What would you do with $20,000?

After the first year of our relationship we moved across the country with my family and moved into my brothers house, then moved into an apartment with my mom. Through our five years of marriage we have never gotten to experience living alone as a couple. We would use the $20,000 as a down payment on our first (and hopefully forever) home back where our love first started.
