How did your love story begin?

We were dating online for months without meeting; I unexpectedly got delayed returning from deployment, so I asked if she would be willing to fly literally across the US to meet me for the first time; she said yes!.. I picked her up at the Syracuse airport and took her to Bolt Castle for our first date, we’ve never been voluntarily apart since that day (except for half a dozen more deployments). She is more than I ever could have imagined or wished for in a best friend, lover and soul-mate.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

What went went through just to meet for the first time was incredible; in my rush to the airport, I was speeding when I struck a raccoon, it destroyed the front of my rental car and the agent could barely believe the claim I was trying to make - all the while, she experienced flight delay after delay and at one point in Detroit, offered to do the inflight beverage service just to get the plane off the ground. Once we met, all that was behind us and we just laughed and knew we were both “home”

What would you do with $20,000?

I would take us on a second honeymoon; we had a quick trip through Spain, France and Italy. I would start by taking her to San Sebastián, stay a few days and decompress. Then off for some quiet time at the love hotel at Pont Du Gard France and Dinah-off with as much time skipping through Cinque Terra before eating and exploring countless little villages across Tuscany or the Amafia coast, maybe on a sailboat?!
