Connect How did your love story begin?

My husband was Heaven Sent!! I was 33 & single, my grandma was dying. She gave ne her "Hope" chest & said, "when I get to heaven, I'm going to send you a NICE guy & you will know it was ME!!!" Next, my intuitive friend told me, "come to YOGA," to meet someone! . Sure enough, I met Bill & he invited me to YAM Pie, there's more to the story but I know my Grandma sent him b/c when we had our SON we named him "William Thomas the 5th" for Bill's family name & my Grandpa's Thomas William 4th

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We had an incredibly romantic Autumn getaway at Doe Bay in San Juan Islands relaxing & watching a movie about apple orchards harvest that was the night our son was conceived, it was also the first time we had sex, so grandma was locking down our relationship!!! Funny thing is some of my friends said it wouldn't last b/c Bill was too "NICE!!!" exactly what my grandma promised to send a NICE man & he IS the nicest man I've ever met!!!

What would you do with $20,000?

We were married & started our family so quickly, then we bought our house, started a business together & got to work raising our son, we never got to experience a honeymoon! Now our son is 19 years old & I'd love to go on a trip just the two of is to celebrate our 20 years together!!! I would also love to DONATE a large gift to the Giving Plate Food bank who offers a grocery store for under served people in Bend.
