Connect How did your love story begin?

Like many other couples, a simple friend request on Facebook reunited us from high school. After many messages, we realized that she lived in the same subdivision I used to live, and that we worked about a mile from each other After 30 years of not seeing her, I was pushing hard for a meeting in person. Erica kept making up excuses not to meet with me, but I was persistent. I knew where she lived, so I just showed up one night. After a couple of hours of talking, we kissed. The rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When we first started dating, our time was limited. With our work schedules and her being a single mom, we had to pursue quality over quantity. One of our favorite things to do was to go for drives into rural areas. We once drove past an old cemetery and realized that we both liked old headstones. We pulled over and decided to explore. We got out and I noticed that Erica was barefoot and had beautifully manicured toes! We shared quiet time and the history, which was a great bonding experience!

What would you do with $20,000?

We have both worked incredibly hard our entire lives, but we've never been able to check the biggest thing off of our dream bucket list. Even before we met, we both had a dream of traveling to Europe. Commitments and responsibilities have kept that dream from coming true. If selected to win, we would finally be able to take our dream vacation. Experiencing the history of London and Germany the beauty of Ireland and the cuisine and romance of France would put the exclamation point on our marriage
