Our best memory is healing our marriage when we’d lost all hope. I carried a secret — being trafficked — and it was destroying my health and our relationship. The first time I ever spoke it out loud was at a five-week marriage program at our church. A week later, we renewed our vows. A whole new beginning. Love can survive, but you may have to go to the hardest, most secret places in your heart and trust that you’re both worth the healing. Nothing is too impossible.

What would you do with $20,000?

First, we’d give 10% to United 2 Stop human trafficking, non-negotiable. Then, after taxes, we’d love to put the rest toward a reliable vehicle. We drive a 2012 Suburban with no air conditioning we’re grateful it gets us where we need to go, but it’s time. We lost our good car when a muffler on the highway put a hole in it. We were on a good path with saving 💵 but I lost my job, but it gave me time to finally finish my book. We’d save what’s left toward a truck that is safe and has cool air.
