Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began on a beautiful 2023 hike through Florida’s natural springs. We explored for hours, talking, joking, laughing, climbing trees, and giving each other piggyback rides. We were only friends then, but the connection was immediate and undeniable. Each of us left that day feeling the same spark, and we kept finding our way back to one another until friendship became love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One summer evening after moving into our new place in Florida, we walked toward the horizon beneath palm-lined roads, watching the sunset over nearby farmland. On the way back, a huge storm rolled in. We hurried home through the rain, clothes soaked and soulful music blaring, laughing harder with every step. It became one of those simple, perfect memories: no plans, no worries, just the three of us finding joy in being together.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the prize as a step toward buying a home and a small piece of land where we can put down roots, farm, and build a shared family space of our own. We would bring Jacob’s goats down from Maryland, add a few more animals, and create something stable for the future. We also want to care for the land responsibly, preserving a small piece of Florida’s natural character as over-development continues to reshape so much of the state.
