How did your love story begin?

We met through a web of connections just as Emily was emerging from divorce. Ben had been single for six years, raising his two kids, while Emily had three of her own. We both gained full custody in our divorces because of our ex-spouses’ struggles with addiction. It felt like a perfect alignment of fate, we understood each other’s tumultuous history, we knew how each wanted to be loved and supported—and our magnetic love grew and grew. We were inseparable from day one!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is the day we announced our pregnancy to our kids. The kids prepared a video trying to convince Ben to expand our family, completely unaware Emily was already pregnant. At the end of the video, we added a little surprise unbeknownst to the kids. It was ultrasound footage and a baby heartbeat. Seeing their joyful tears as they realized a new sibling was on the way created a beautiful moment we shared as not only a couple, but a blended family

What would you do with $20,000?

We dream of taking our family on a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Our oldest has already graduated high school, and the next graduates this year. It feels like time is slipping by as life begins pulling us in different directions. As a family of eight, we’ve never been able to afford a trip like this during the eight years we’ve been together. Winning would give us precious time and memories together before this chapter passes
