Connect How did your love story begin?

A friend introduced us at a party and I was immediately struck by how calming and confident Ava was. Ava and I spent a good year dancing around each other before we started to hang out 1 on 1. I had never been in a relationship before and was terrible at emotions, I kept hoping Ava would make the first move, but she's not the best with social cues. I even gave her a plant but it went over her head. Eventually I had to blurt it out. Best decision I ever made.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I think we can both say our engagement. We both knew a year out from the actual event that we were going to propose. Ava was afraid I'd beat her to it, but turns out we both had the same exact plan, right down to the exact location. Every year we go to Longwood Gardens to see the Christmas lights and take a photo in the conservatory in front of all the tropical plants. We both had our rings ready at the exact same moment. We even unknowingly picked matching rings!

What would you do with $20,000?

That's easy for us, we have been saving for our dream wedding for 3 years now but life has other plans. Our house is old and keeps needing expensive maintenance. This money would go right to our special day and allow us to relax and enjoy the moment. We plan to tie the knot at a local Philadelphia arboretum, keeping in theme with our engagement. We want a knock out day full of love and fun <3
