How did your love story begin?

We met in a nursing home, I was a nursing assistant and Scott an LPN. We did not date until years later when we ran into each other in a fitness center. He went back twice each day following to try and find me with no success. Several weeks later, we connected. His pick up line was “I’m bored, would you like to go out? We were engaged that New Year’s Eve due to my ability to “do the worm” and won tickets to Vegas. We were married on April Fools’ day 1997. He has not been bored since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Last summer we went to Ireland with our family, a total of 8 of us to Ireland for our son’s graduation and our daughter and her new husband’s honeymoon ( they split off from the group for four days on their own.) The final day we took the Paddy Wagon tour to the Cliffs of Moher and ended the day at the Brazen Head, Irelands’ oldest pubs. We laughed and sang together the rest of the night and neither one of us could stop smiling. It was a trip of a lifetime as we both have some Irish heritage.

What would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, we would take an Alaskan cruise for Scott’s retirement. Scott has worked over 35 years as a nurse in behavioral health hospitals and Angie has worked as a school social worker for over 30 years. We would also be sure to continue the gift of supporting our children as much as possible as well as our god daughters. We enjoy supporting a private mission in Uganda as well as our local church and local children, family and friends.
