We met in 1999 while she was in a relationship and I was interested in someone she knew. After their breakup and my loss of interest in that person, we remained friends. Long phone conversations, often ending with her falling asleep, and weekday lunches brought us closer. Eventually, we went on our first date to see the movie Flawless. She even picked me up because I didn’t have a car. After movies, dancing, and spending time together, we made our relationship official on February 14, 2000.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory from 26 years together is my proposal to her on May 8, 2021, and especially our elopement on our 22nd anniversary. Although we wanted to celebrate with family and friends, we decided our wedding would be just for us. Even our sons didn’t know. We chose each other and focused on the love that brought us together. On that special day, we supported one another, shared every moment side by side, and created a deeply personal memory that perfectly reflected our bond and commitment
What would you do with $20,000?If Angie and I won, we’d probably use some of it for a vacation and maybe share a little with our boys. But honestly, Angie deserves it most. She is always going out of her way to help others without expecting anything in return—that’s just who she is. She’ll be turning 50 in 2027 (shhh!), and my dream would be to take her to Paris. She visited once on a high school trip and still talks about it. My greatest joy is seeing her happy, exploring, smiling, and enjoying every moment.
