Connect How did your love story begin?

We were 9 years old. I met her in church. Our parents met and became best friends. She became my girlfriend in 5th grade. Broke up with me on the 1st day of 6th grade. She moved away, I moved away. She moved back. I came to audition for college as a senior and we ended up reuniting. Sparks flew, but I had to go back. We ended moving back because my dad got stationed back at Cherry Point, but they had moved. It took a few months, but we got in touch. I wrote a letter, We hit it off started dating

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The birth of our 4 kids, each unique in their own way. The first born 10 weeks premature, what a battle to get her home. The 2nd, born on her due date after being told she’d too come early. The 3rd, delivered by Angela in the van as I drove us to the hospital. The 4th, evicted a week early because we were not taking a chance!😂 Our kids represent our love. Doing life with her is everything to me.

What would you do with $20,000?

That’s hard. We don’t do enough for ourselves. Maybe a nice trip? We’re about to celebrate 25 years of marriage and because of life, we are putting everything else before us. Things are busy with the kids. We don’t regret it, but we also don’t stop to smell the roses. A trip would be cool, spend quality time together. Pay off some bills! Put the rest in savings!
