Our moms were in the church choir together. They planned a family dinner with both our families one night. We were both shy so it took the moms to initiate the idea of a first date, but once he asked, it was so easy. That first date was a blast! Steak dinner, cheesecake, a movie, and bowling. What girl wouldn't fall for a guy like that?
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our honeymoon, at ages 18 & 21, was a little bit of a disaster that ended up with our car being in the repair shop the entire week and us having to cash out of our mountain chalet and opt for a motor inn on the edge of town near the auto shop. We went back for a redo a few years later. The weather was awesome and we went on a hike that ended with me jogging down the mountain trail, turning a corner and quite literally coming face to face with a deer. Still not sure who was more startled!
What would you do with $20,000?We have an old home, built in 1912, and the old gal needs a few repairs. We would probably use a bulk of the money for the repairs and treat ourselves to a week off camping in the woods somewhere near a mountain stream. We love being out in nature together, always looking for the next adventure.
