Connect How did your love story begin?

We were in each other’s circles for quite a few years until one random happy birthday message turned into chatting every single day for over 6 months. From ranting about our days to unpacking serious emotional challenges, our connection only grew stronger as the time went on. We had known from our first FaceTime call that we would turn into something... We lived 500 miles away and eventually decided to meet up in person. From that day forward we knew! We fell in love without so much as a hug.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Though we have done many wonderful activities, such as museums and crafting, our favorite was our trip to the beach. We walked up to sand dunes on a bright, sunny day and spent our time giggling, taking silly photos, and soaking up every precious second in each other’s arms. As a long distance couple this was magical because for the first time, we could experience the beauty of the world standing side by side rather than from a screen.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a young couple starting their lives we would put some of this money towards our student loans. One of us just graduated with her masters and the other is in law school. We would also utilize a portion for traveling to each other on the days where the distance feels heavier and the emotions run high. We are each other’s peace, and in our chaotic worlds the only quiet place we have is together.
