We met in 5th grade (2005) and since he was in foster care, he moved away and I thought I'd never see him again. 5 years later, we end up going to school together again, only this time he had lost his best friend. At the candle light vigil for her, I saw him. I reached out to offer my sympathy, and he took me up on it. He was in an abusive relationship and I was the one who helped him leave. We've been together ever since and I can't imagine my life without him.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?This one time, we went for a short hike with my dog, Frankie, and we sat down, mid-adventure and just stared at the fall foliage. It was so peaceful and quiet, I will never forget how grateful I felt in that moment
What would you do with $20,000?I would gain independence from my abusive parent. I've never seen the world through my own eyes, so my partner and I would probably find a nice place to live our lives together (with our countless pets too!)
