It truly began a little over a month before meeting. Alexi was at a Katy Perry concert with his ex at the time and they got called on stage to sing live. Juan, my husband, has a video of me on stage on his phone. Red string theory by God. We eventually matched on Bumble BFF and went on 2 dates back to back and made it official 5 days later on our 3rd date. The I love yous came shortly after and now we are 2 months happily married after 6 months of dating. We just leased an apartment together.

If we were basic, we’d say our wedding day. And while that’s definitely the best day of our lives, we both really enjoyed our first thanksgiving together. I went to Maryland to spend thanksgiving with his family and friends. We then left to Shenandoah the day after with Juan’s husky and we stood in an A-frame right on the creek. Fireplace at night. Pizza and salad. Netflix off my iPhone. It truly was a magical day. DC the next day and went to a Christmas market and bought our first ornament.

We would finally go on our honeymoon. The first 1.5 months of a relationship we were together in Miami, seeing each other almost every single day. Juan was then reassigned to another hotel (he has a remote job) and for the next 6.5 months, I would travel twice a month to go where he was at, Georgia, Alabama, Rhode Island, and Philadelphia. We eloped due to financial reason and between us moving to Maryland and some debt, we haven’t been able to take a proper honeymoon.
